We had our first meeting back. The Pathfinders worked on the National Parkes honor, while the Adventurers worked on the dog award with a real dog. Plus we had the Bible David travel through time to wish one of our Pathfinder's, whose name happens to be David too, a Happy Birthday! That was fun.
The devotional theme this is year is Heroes of Faith based on Hebrews 11. Under that vast, starry desert sky we see a man who heard God’s voice and left everything familiar behind. He believed impossible promises — a son when it was too late, descendants like the stars — and it was credited to him as righteousness.
A Faith theme teaches our youth what it looks like to step out when God calls, even when the path is unclear. To trust His promises when circumstances say “impossible.” To obey radically, even when it costs. To wait with hope and persevere through testing. To live as a blessing to others because we have first been blessed.
What if our students developed the kind of faith that says “Here I am” when God speaks — and then watches Him move in ways they never imagined?
